Evie is drawn to queer stories, dark comedy and new writing that evokes fiery post-viewing-chatter. With the foundations of her creative practice in theatre, Evie strives to bring the wholesome and collaborative approach of the rehearsal room to set.

Director
Sweet Potato is a story of discovering how we want to be loved. Emilia’s relationship with Tarron is fiery and hot, but is it quite right? When her female friend, Sam, opens Emilia’s eyes to acts of love and attentativeness she’s not experienced before, what she wants from relationships is called into question. Fragments of memory are intertwined and battle one another as Emilia enters an inner conflict that sings of the early twenties experience and a young woman’s first steps of queer discovery.

My Dead Boyfriend’s Girlfriend is a film that explores the idea of female rivalry and friendship. It pokes fun at the bizarre rituals we have surrounding death, family and breakups; it sits on a lot of awkwardness, absurdity and oddly enough, love (just not in the places you would expect to find it).
